Use this set of p-toluenesulfonic acids for checking accuracy of crude protein tests and digestion recovery efficiency in Total Nitrogen (TN) and Total Kjeldahl (TKN) methods.
TN recovers organic nitrogen, ammonia (NH3) and ammonium (NH4+) plus amines, nitro compounds (including nitrate (NO3-) and nitrite (NO2-), hydrazones, oximes, semicarbazones and some refractory tertiary amines.
TKN (Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen) analysis determines the content of both organic and inorganic forms of nitrogen in the samples and is applicable to a broad variety of applications. It is the sum of organic nitrogen, ammonia (NH3) and ammonium (NH4+). It is a common test for wastewater, but can be used in other applications.
